Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
